Child Accessibility and Voice Settings

Help children use text-to-speech, reading ruler, and accessibility preferences.

Voice settings

  • Children can open Voice settings from the child area to choose or update speech options.
  • Text-to-speech uses the selected voice when available and falls back to browser speech on supported devices.

Reading help tools

  • The reading ruler can be enabled to help track lines while reading.
  • Spacing, overlays, and other reading preferences are saved per child profile where supported.

Best experience

  • Use an up-to-date browser such as Safari, Chrome, or Edge for the strongest text-to-speech support.
  • If audio does not play, refresh the page and check the selected voice again.
